Botanique is a kind of herb. Scented botanique candles are very famous and are commonly used in aromatherapy.

In order to make candles, you have to start with a mold and appropriate wick. Then, you melt the wax using a stainless steel pot or other heating implement, and then pour the wax into the mold. After that, you tap the mold to remove air bubbles and then use a skewer or chopstick to release air bubbles from the mold. As the candle shrinks in the mold, you wait and top up the mold with more wax. Refrigerate the mold for 10 minutes then tilt it upside down and the candle will slide out. Polish the candle with either nylons, candle spray or clear shoe polish and then untie and trim the wick. You then even out the base of the candle.
