Cancer doesn't put people in panic mode because it isn't contagious. Covid can be spread by a cough, sneeze, shaking hands, or breathing the same air that someone else just breathed. So, social distancing isn't necessary to prevent cancer. Cancer doesn't shut down schools, churches, sports arenas, spas.

Most cancers can be treatable, and people can survive for many years with it, or can even beat it, if caught early enough.

Covid has been in Canada barely a month. If you give it some time, it may beat your cancer death statistic.

Ursus also doesn't understand that cancer and car accident patients don't kill doctors, nurses, care givers, janitors, and so on.

When a Covid19 patient enters a hospital, that patient has the potential to unintentionally infect everyone who works in that hospital. Then those people in that hospital can infect their families, their children, and their relatives, the cashier at the grocery store. Then that cashier can infect her kids. Then her kids can infect other people in school. Then those other school kids can infect their parents. It's a domino effect that can never ends. Cancer doesn't spread like the Covid19 virus.

Now, I don't think that Ursus would want his doctor and nurses to die of Covid19, because some day he just might need his doctors and nurses to save him from dieing from cancer or maybe that car accident in the future. You never know.

Every surgeon has patients die on them because he/she cant get to them in time. They overwhelm the medical facilities every day, although they do it more orderly. But, it is still an over abundance, just as Covid is. But actually, Cancer is worse.

In your guys' world, 80,000 deaths from Cancer is nothing. But 1500 deaths from Covid is devestating and overwhelming. That's exactly how women think and discuss problems. They care not about reality, only how they feel about a pressing issue.

Maybe I can explain a little better than from a couple of posts above.

When a doctor and/or nurses treat a cancer patient, that doctor/nurse can't catch cancer from that patient.

But on the other hand, a doctor/nurse can catch Covid19 from a hospital patient. Anyone that works in at hospital including the janitor and the cafeteria worker can catch Covid19 from the hospital patients.

Now that doctor that died from catching Covid19 from a hospital patient, will never be able to save you from your future car accident, or your future cancer disease, because he/she would be in the ground by then.
