Speech About Essential Oils

Hi,

I have to give an informative speech in my public speaking class, and I want to do it on essential oils.

Does anyone have any good websites/articles about research/facts/information that I could use in my speach?

Also any good ideas about what topics to cover/orginization. The speech needs to be 5-7 minutes.

hi there.pick an area that you like the best and also have the most knowledge in.This will show enthusuiasm (you might pick 1 or 2 clients up from it.)
whenever i am askled to give a talk to lay people i always talk about using essential oils inthe home.i pick one or two like lavender,eucalyptus,tea tree and then talk about how they can be applied etc etc. Lavender for burns in the kitchen(you can back it up with gattefosse) eucalyptus for colds (youcan talk about cold remedies/olbas oil and show the ingredients are the saME.)There is lots of research on eucalyptus and lavender online.MEDLINE should havesome free stuff to see.Or martin watts aromamedical may have something of interest.???

Although I've never done a talk myself, my tutor at college recommended that should we get the chance to take some props such as Lavender flowers or sprigs of Rosemary. You could even take an Orange and explain where the oil comes from as they pierce the skin. Then you could take the oils along with you too. Good luck with the talk!!

Good point,i always take flash cards to show what the oils look like in their plant like form and always some spills so that people can smell the aroma and have a direct link with what they are being informed about.
