Sex Tourist?

WHY is it whenever british tv news has a segment about sex tourists (like recently following the glitter case) they always interview campaigners who are 99.9% of the time ugly women who a blind man would not shag.

But seriously i have never woried,thought about or cared for 1 single second what any person in my home town thinks about me going to thailand
the reason why is simple MY CONSCIENCE IS CLEAR i have never ever considered doing anything which i would not openly do in the uk (and that includes visiting the eden club 5555555) so they are free to have their holidays in Majorca and benidorm and they can use their small minds to think what they want about me because frankly i dont give a damn !

I don't understand this discussion on "sex tourists" do you consider yourself a sex tourist? We are all aware that the phrase was coined by the tabloid media to sell their shitty little sheets to the ignorant masses. Why do we fall into the trap of discussing it, therefore giving the term credence.
We tourists who choose to spend our holidays in Thailand do so for many reasons, just as those who choose any other destination.
I also have heard the comments from ignorant twats about my visits to LOS.
I certainly wouldn't waste my breath justifying myself.
I have never visited the tourist haunts of places like Ibiza etc. but have seen the images on tv. of drunken european youth, seforum.xxxgering around, vomitting in the street, fighting, flashing etc etc. and the females seem to be worse than the lads.
The same people who make snide comments about los. tourists are the very people that think it's great to visit these places every year and spend the whole of their holiday pissed out of their brains and acting like utter tw-ts.
I sometimes wonder if these questions like "how many of you" etc. are used by some ars_le to compile statistics which will eventually be used to justify their half ars-d attempts to bring out legislation to ban all men over puberty from visiting los. etc.
Don't laugh, there are people out there who wouldn't think it so ridiculous.

Its funny, here Los is not real well known as a destination. Once in a while you'll run across someone whos been but most of my friends don't believe me when I tell them what it's like. And to be honest they'd probably like me to shut up about it. But whats better than a night out with freinds, partying and laughing and going home with a beautiful woman.
I get really pissed when people think it's prostitution. I don't think of it that way. they don't act like hookers and I don't feel like a john. I'm not a sex tourist, I'm a tourist having sex.

i think what he meant was that it just feels like a different experience.
even for me, i have a different feeling in phuket than i do BKK
BKK, all my dealings have been exactly that, almost business dealings
in phuket, at least my experiences, its akin to going out and hooking up at home, with the exception being the monetary factor in the morning
