Just Curious!!!!!!!
If someone just decides to go for a massage and pays the door fee, and the attendant walks in the room and asks, "What kind of session would you like?".
Is it wrong to say, I just came for the massage, I do not want anything extra.


Obviously the mpa would be upset, since they're not making money.

This came up because after I chose my session, the mpa was not talking (One word answers, "yes", "no", "maybe", "because").
So I thought I would ask something that no one has probably asked just to get a conversation going?

The answer was,
her - "They must chose at least the basic"
me - "What if they do not want it"
her - "well, I guess they don't get a massage"
me - "has it ever happened before?"
her - "No. most people come in here knowing what they're going to get.
me - "If they came in, and did not want any extras, would you give them their room fee back?"
her - "Would you like to turn over?", and that was pretty much the end of the conversation.

Don't try an independent. Visit a spa that dosent encourage or ask for extras in the first place. There are at least a few in T.O.

I believe there are a few on Yonge st. Something like 144 Yonge, or 656 Yonge st. (upstairs), I believe there is one at Bathurst/Wilson, north west corner upstairs

If I'm not mistaken, the Basic is just a massage...with the MA being fully clothed? Release is always optional. I'd say she was correct when she states that if you didn't want the Basic, you won't get a massage. As you continued the questions along those lines, she more than likely questioned either your age (don't know how young you look?) or your LE status (belonging or not belonging?). Either way she probably got a "hinky" feeling about you and clammed up.

If you came in and decided you didn't want a massage period, I'd imagine you'd get your room fee returned...buy why ask the question? I'd find it a strange series of questions myself. If you wanted just a basic massage with no extras, why would they return your room fee?? Man, you're gettin me a tad "hinky" lol..

I still swear by Shirley at Changs for my "basic" massage. She's out of town right now, but I understand she should return shortly.

In all fairness, this is a valid question. I have wondered the same thing on occasion.

On this board, the obsession seems to be how high is the mileage? What services are offered? How far can I/We go?

There does not seem to be a sense of what is the starting point.

Now myself, I have gone BS all the way, for that is my preference. However, I have wondered what the lowest menu choice is, or the "basic" so to speak. Although I have been hesitant to ask, out of concern of seeming cheap or uninterested.

For me, the question is not whether to go BS or not, but rather, to gauge why I go BS at $80 - $100 per 1/2 hr above the door fee. Without knowing the alternatives, I guess I am just going with what I have always done.

So I support the question put forth by 1211George.

In response to this post, I do agree, although you have to careful there as well. A couple of years ago I was given a "Free" Visit by my Wife for a birthday gift. I went to the RMT, a well known one at that, Sutherland-Chan, and got a regular massage.

I left there feeling beat up and hurt. The Attendant gave me a deep tissue massage, and I thought I was going to be crippled by the end of it. Not enjoyable at all.

Some MPA's give a great massage on top of everything else. What if you only wanted a massage?

From time to time, I do enjoy just the basic massage whether its for the excellent massage skill of a particular MPA, good conversation or eye-candy. Got a few dirty looks from MPA along the way, few asked, "Why no extra?" I make it clear in the beginning that I am not looking for extra. And I compensate them with a tip, as most MPA don't get a cut of the room fee. In the end, everyone satisfied.

I haven't asked for the basic yet, but if I ever find a girl who gives a nice massage but a horrible ending, I might consider.

Consider this.......

There are some spas where the girls make a commission on the door fee say $10 per massage and the rest they make as a tip in the room. But quite often the first $10 commission goes to the house for 'cleaning' or 'reception' or some other mysterious reason. Well, if the first massage of the day is a basic then with the commission going to the house the attendant is basically massaging you for free, zilch, zip, zero, nada. So, as you can see this is not great business for them and as such they are not in the best of moods when they hear the word 'basic'.

Secondly, they are missing out on the guy they could have been massaging for say $80 cause he wants a BS.

I think the solution to all of this is to find a sexy RMT!!
