New to scrubs

I work in a salon and spa and i recently talked to the owner about wearing scrubs to set myself apart from the girls who do hair I am the only mt there full time and she agreed that it was a good idea. I bought some today and i'm so excited to start wearing them instead of dress pants and nice shirts! My only problem is that i dont know what kind of shoes to wear with them. So any advice about foot wear or anything in general with scrubs would be very helpful!!

I wear white tennis shoes. NB when possible, 'cuz I like 'em.

White or lite grey and white tennis shoes.... New Balance or Nike walking shoes. Walking or tennis shoes seems to give a more stable "base" for the medial- lateral movements of the feet/ankles when performing bodywork.

I love nice, plain, simple scrubs for giving massage, esp. in the summer months,, I think that they are cooler than my knit pants and polos.

With my scrubs I wear Crocs, Crocs or perhaps Crocs.

I love'em!! I have different colors, different styles....they go with anything and everything and are so comfy on my feet.

Oh yes, I'm with Angie. I wear moc-Crocs
(knock-off Croc's?) :
and have them also in many colors.
Of course I never wear anything remotely standard
and have a theory that the more color, the better.

It's one of the things I treasure about having my own office.
I worked for years in an environment in which I had to wear a smock.
These days I'm always at risk of having someone call the fashion
police and turn me in............my clients definitely don't come
to me for my professional attire.
I do sometimes wear scrub tops though. They're comfy and hold up well to oil/lotion, and of course I always wear the ones with great
patterns! My office is near one of the scrub manufacturer outlets, and
I used to hit their yearly overstock sale. You gotta figure if it's designed to withstand blood and other ghastly body fluids, a little oil and lotion is going to be peanuts. But to each his own..............

Crocs or Earth shoes. I like having shoes that I can slip off if needed at any time, like if my feet get too hot.

I tried the Crocs,, but darn if they didn't make my feet hurt! That is why I need tennis or walking shoes with lace up ability. It gives me more support.
I get plantar fasciitis if I am not careful...sigh

JC Penneys is a good place for uniforms. I think there was a link recently about different places to purchase online. I will go on a search......

Their website is a bit rough to navigate, but they have tons of items. The staff is nice too. Look on the right of the page and you'll see links for different brands of scrubs, depending on what you prefer.

They also e-mail out coupons every once in a while.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I went out and found a brand that has crock like shoes but without the holes. It's called scrubs rx. I also got some really cool breathable sneaker type things. Both are very light weight and ill let you know how they do tomorrow at work

Crocs or Earth shoes. I like having shoes that I can slip off if needed at any time, like if my feet get too hot.

I also like to have shoes I can slip on or off, to suit me table/client height-wise. I don't have an electric lift table, so I can't easily adjust it between clients.
But clogs with an 1" heel work well. I just slip them on or off according to the size of my client.

I wear scrubs with white NurseMate clogs.

I have to wear a scrub top at work, with either black or tan pants. I went with the black pants, and a pair of Skechers mules - these in black.

They're wonderfully comfortable, though a tad snug in the beginning, but they've broken in great.

I have gotten the embroidery in script "Massage Therapist" (extra 3.99)
on a couple of tops and it looks nice.

Oh - and I wear white sneakers.

I wear SAS shoes and Crocks if I am not doing a lot of work that day. But I weigh in at 250 and good lateral support is important, I pronate a little.

Either K~Swiss or socks/barefoot.
As far as scrubs, I like the Dickies cargo pants with the leg pockets on the side and two hip pockets. The leg pocket is in just the right place to hold a pump bottle of gel.
