New Bawdy House Law... Does this apply to Ontario as well?

One of my friends told me that a new bawdy-house law was passed quietly recently. Owners of bawdy houses now get up to five years in prison if found guilty because now, it is considered organized crime! I couldn't find anything written about it... Until I stumbled upon this website... But it's written about Nova Scotia. Please check it out... Does anyone know if this apply to Ontario as well?

I'm concerned because another friend of mine was thinking of opening a MP. He hasn't been able to find work for a couple of months now, and thought it would be a good way to make some money. But if they're passing this law to prepare for a crackdown on these places... I'm going to talk him out of it.

Anyone has any info?

There are threads in every one of the forums on the changes to the regulations under the Criminal Code, and all the local newspapers and the CBC carried the story. Technically the law hasn't changed, but how police and prosecuters use it has. And yes, it was not passed openly in Parliament after debate but secretly by Harper's Cabinet, and simply proclaimed.

And we should all know that in Canada—unlike the US—the same criminal law applies to the whole country. As freestuff says.

Here's another story on the same subject. Apparently, the government enacted this as a regulatory change, without going through parliament, so it is already law.

Neither article seems to say that this is going to affect the clients. However, I can imagine that this will lead to increased enforcement. (More bathhouse raids, too, so be careful out there )

Beside the obvious choice of NOT GOING TO INCALLS, is there anything one can do to minimize the chances of getting busted by the cops? Will sticking to the "reputable" agencies advertising on massageplanet.net keep you as safe as one can be? I just keep thinking that a huge bust is coming up.

Yeah, but in the past it usually involved a crime organization/ring that had Asian/EE girls just "fresh off the boat" or SWs. Now, I'm thinking a more "reputable" (incall/outcall) agency could down. I wasn't worried before because I avoided the former but since I use the latter, I'm thinking it's time to take a break and see what happens.
