That's a good list you have there. But although Andreychuck is in the HHOF and was outstanding for the Leafs, I feel his time with the Leafs was too brief to be considered on the all-time list. I would put Clark in his spot.

Who would be your 3rd best goalie, Bower, Potvin, or Palmateer? I'm too young to have seen Bower play, aside from the classic reruns, but Palmateer had much smaller padding and equipment than Potvin. I think with goalies I really loved Palmateer from '76-77 to '78-79, but I think Potvin was just more technically aware. I'd go with Potvin. Coaches. Another great question. I like Neilson here by a ton. He was a gentle soul and while some players need the toughness of Burns, I also think some "snowflakes" would have a hard time with that approach and so some of the latter era players might not respond to that well (Riley, Matthews, possibly even Sundin). I'd go with Neilson as Head, Imlach as Assistant, and Quinn as GM. By the way, were I President of the team today, I would be the first to find a female as my GM.

Notable omissions: Rouse (tough but slow?); Courtnall (skilled and fast but little playoff mettle); Ellis (he was on Team Canada 72, right?).

Not sure how the Sundin line would fair as a checking line, but I like Kennedy's physical toughness to stir things up, and Lanny MacDonald was an EXCELLENT two way player until he left the Leafs. He was +34 one year, and even as he wound down in Calgary he was not in a way a liability on the D side of the game. I would have no argument with Keon's line being the #1 line, but at their PEAK (assuming in this fantasy land all players magically between 26 to 29) then that Sittler line would impossible to defend, then you got Keon's line and just when you think you got some rest, there is Gilmour to feed Matthews all day.

They'll have tons of money to spend on Byfuglien next season. They're going to let Ceci and Barrie walk on July 1st. That's over 5 million right there. There's no way Byfuglien is going to look for over 5 million. Like you said, he's past his prime. But he's got a Stanley Cup on his resume, and he can teach those kids how to win. I think the Leafs would be stupid not to sign him.

True that Ceci and Barrie can walk, but I think Johansson is still on the books for 3 mil but it's a gamble at the end of the day it'll be a plus if he signs though, you won't have people running at the top 3 as much if Buff is on your team

Yes. Great choices. But I wouldn't want a female GM that is too good looking, because the players wouldn't be able to focus. Maybe someone like a 6 out of 10. Ha ha ha. For defence, I liked Sylvain Lefaive, and Robert Svela too.

Right on. Byfuglien might just be the last piece of the puzzle to make the team tough enough to finally beat the Bruins.

I would have loved to see Gilmour and Matthews together. Although Marner reminds me a bit of Gilmour, just not as tough, that duo would have been more deadly than Hull and Oates.
