My business card made me 3 hooker appts today

I handed out my business card to a guy 2 months ago. Today, as I was driving, he called me up and wanted to sign a contract with my company's service. My take on the deal was $675 in comissions.

I keep saying it to everyone that will listen:

Go get a business card printed with your contact info on it. Give it to everyone you meet. It will make you a ton of money for a very small investment. I had 1500 cards printed and delivered to my door for only $53.

With one person, I already made my money back 12 times over.

If you hand out a personal information card to others, you will make more money and bang more hookers with that money.

Simple.

The biggest cost in life is opportunity cost.

I gave another business card today, this time to a pot head. Drug users are great because when they want something from you, they will do anything to get it. They always need to turn things into cash to buy more drugs. Leverage.

Ursus, do you mind if i ask what you do? Are you in sales? What does your company sell? Im just curious as i recently begun to tread the waters of the marketing sectors and want to take as many learning oppertunities as possible

The best thing to do is read as many sales books as you can and follow the advice in those sales books. Learn from the best salespeople as to how they reached success. I have read 40+ sales books and I am much better than I was before I started studied sales as a profession. Most salespeople don't want to study. But, when you think about every other profession, ALL people have to study. Doctor's, Mechanics, Opticians, Dental Assistants etc. all invest time in improving their knowledge and skills.

In general, whatever you sell, become an expert. If you are an expert, people will respect your knowledge and feel confident in doing what you tell them to do. And beyond being an expert, create relationships with buyers. Always be talking to, visiting, calling or emailing people to be in touch with them and create your opportunities. If you are a knowledgeable guy that is talking to prospects and asking them to follow your requests, you will be successful in sales.

In general, people buy off of those salespeople that they admire. So be admirable. Show admirable qualities when you interact with potential buyers. When they admire you, they will listen to you and when they listen to you, they will buy from you. Buying is an emotional decision, not a logical one. People don't buy based upon logic.

Summary: Study, become an expert, communicate with as many people as you can and be admirable.
