I was just informed yesterday that our salon will be on the local news! I am supposed to write up some type of small speech that tells why everyone should come to OUR salon and get massage rather than anywhere else. I talked to my friend, the other therapist that works with me, and she said she doesn't want to do the talking, so I get to do it. I'm so excited! I need to start thinking and writing a speech to say, but being as it's spring, school will be out soon, and people will start wanting to come get massage and body-wraps, this could be an outstanding marketing opportunity!*dances* ;D

Seforum.xxxg, I'm sure your very! charming self will need no practice, but it doesn't hurt to rehearse your speech in front of a mirror a few times. I did an impromptu chair massage interview for a CNN reporter that appeared locally on the news too. When I talked about the daily neck strains of the office folks, computer to telephone, I demonstrated "this way and that" and though my friends thought it was a fun interview, they teased me for weeks about "this way and that".  Gi

Today was the day! I had to wake up at 3:30 this morning (god's not even up that early!) to get ready, and be down there at 5:00am. That was quite an experience. Sure I've been awake at those times, but that's usually when I'm coming home from a party and getting ready to go to sleep, not waking up. Anyway, my friend, the one that was supposed to be on there with me, bailed out this morning. She called and said she was feeling ill (heh, wait till I get my hands on her), so she couldn't make it. So I went to the station with the owner of the salon, and we got to talk. We did about a 3-5 minute section, and I didn't get to talk much, but I DID get to massage the weatherman in my massage chair, which will hopefully let people see what chair massage is and hopefully get it more popular in my area. I got to talk about ear candling, hot stone massage, deep tissue, what we specialize in, and pointed out that we were both members of the ABMP and insured, making us SEEM more professional I guess, lol. I was a little nervous, but all seemed to go well. Hopefully I can get a copy of it, and I'll put it on my website. Thanks for the encouragement! ;D
