Legit Massages

I know that most us here look for “fun” places and provides, but sometimes all one needs is a therapeutic session. Well at least that’s the case for me, so thought would share my favourites to those interested.

Let me start by saying that all places mentioned below always deliver good overall massages, but each specialized in a certain area and that’s where they excel.

Again all these places are 100% legit but I still go there for specific reasons since most fun ones don’t really have the therapeutic side to them.

1- “Westwinds massage & wellness” is my favourite for Thai massage and stretching, which helps with flexibility.

2- “Therapeutic massage” (30st) is my go to for backwalking which I personally love since it’s as deep as it gets and relives stiffness that no regular massage can.

3- “TruRelief Wellness Massage & Acupuncture” is the best for foot massages which not many do properly. They start with a foot bath, then foot scrub before giving an amazing massage that works wonders. This is coming from someone with chronic pain.

No surprise from me - I will add Ancestral Therapeutics. Sonya is a skilled and intuitive RMT. She is also a registered Osteopath and gives THE best foot massage I’ve ever had.

This shop which was reviewed on this forum has only one Asian therapist. Definitely one of the best in the city for both deep tissue massages and for Thai massages with stretching on a floor mat. It's on the second level of a building east of Centre street and west of 1st NE on the North side of 16 avenue / TransCanada. Got to book in advance.

Deep tissue therapeutic massage here is excellent. Anyone has same opinion with this clinic?

For shops with multiple therapists it's better if one knows the name of a therapist. Not all therapists even in a good shop are equally skilled.

Don’t remember the names of the therapists at Westwinds, but the couple times I went there it was good and both were different people.

For the other 2 places. Annie is my favourite at Therapeutic from the few I’ve met. And Claire at TruRelief is the only one I’ve seen and was great.
