Have to drop out of school

: Well, I started school one month ago and I just found out I'm pregnant. Mu due date is going to be early June and graduation is July. Also working a full time job, classes three nights a week AND clinicals on the weekends is hard enough when your NOT pregnant. I dont think I will have the stamina. Very sad about it but happy that a baby is coming. Talking to the school tomorrow. Anybody know if Stafford Loan is going to stick it to me?

Are you sure you will not be able to handle it? Have you talked to your instructor one on one? I have someone in my class that is, and she is sticking with it, and she admits it is hard but she is trying her best!

Just know that everything happens in its own time. You are the only one that can judge if its too much to handle. We just had our first person leave after only one month also. She found out she was 2.5 months pregnant. We miss her but understand the choice. I hear this is a commen thing. Hm, better not drink the water at school. Anyway I know you must be very emotional about it, but if you know its too much for you right now, just know also that life is not as short as we often think and there is still time in the future for you to do all that you want in life as long as you have a plan for it. Congrats on the new babe in your world and enjoy yourself.

It is a tough decision, but you need to do what is right for you.
As for Stafford loans, you will need to check with your finaid office at school. Usually, there is a period of time within which you may get a full refund of tuition, and therefore "pay back" your loans.

You might want to talk to them to see if they'll let you do your main book work now and come back to finish whatever clinical (final client) work you are unable to do at this time. I would hate to see you loose the time invested already. Some schools will let you do some now and some later.

Maybe you can even do a good amount of your hands on (class work) early in the pregnancy, and the book part near the end when you need to sit more.

You never know unless you ask!
