I honestly make an effort to listen to both sides. I go out of my way to expose myself to multiple views on the issues, but I notice something that I find very telling. Generally speaking, when you disagree with someone on the right, you get an argument. When you disagree with someone on the left, you are immediately accused and labelled the very worst things. I’m the same way. I try to be as objective as possible.

With this case for instance, at first I thought Chauvin should have the book thrown at him. But as the facts came out, and learning that the attorney general withheld the complete bodycam footage at first, I realized there’s a lot more to the story.

The left is another type of person. There is no discussion. Only attributing motives, labelling, and name calling.

Appeal is very different than a mistrial. You claimed the judge said she may have caused a mistrial. Well, the defence claimed that, made a motion to the judge to declare a mistrial, the judge considered it and denied it. If he thought there was grounds for a mistrial he would have declared it right then and there. He didn’t. You consistently misrepresent what actually happens and claim you are fair and unbiased which you are not.

Ben Shapiro is a very talented debater and I wouldn’t want to go head to head with him. I agree with him that the 3rd degree murder charge was silly. 3rd degree murder is like shooting a gun into a crowd, you didn’t mean to kill a specific person but you did intent harm or death randomly and it just so happened to be that victim. As for the 2nd degree, he’s claiming it’s his training. Many officers and Use of Force trainers said it wasn’t. That’s the key point, 2nd degree murder requires a felony. That felony is assault. To prove that, the prosecution had to prove that what Chauvin did (knee on the neck for over 9 minutes while he was handcuffed and then passed out and all bystanders yelling at the cops to check his pulse and get off of him) was not part of his training. That is the key difference in perception of the outcome. But even Ben admitted the manslaughter charge was a much stronger case for the prosecution.
