I just received notification Good Energy Massage (1512-91 Street Southwest, Edmonton) and Cranford (Sherwood Park) have been delisted from Sunlife.

Yes, I think this is likely the reason. Not many guys are going to admit that they are involved with something illegal and report them. I recently went to a place that had several girls working but only one rmt. I was told up front that only she could give a receipt. They were following the rule but it's easy to see how that rule could be broken for more profits.

I had a couple of receipts questioned not long ago. Had to show them proof that the two spas were owned by the person signing the receipts at both locations which are in neighbouring areas. Took three months to get $220….

This is what I think as well. I don't think the insurance company cares too much if you get a 60 minute RMT massage for $90 and then tack on an extra $40 as long as the invoice is for $90. It is the receipts issued under one provider for massages provided by someone else that they get worked up about.

The insurance industry shares data between companies too. So they can prepare a calendar for each RMT regardless of which insurer is involved. Difficult to believe that any therapist works 14 hour days, everyday of the week

The case of multiple therapists using the same number is a valid issue, i've heard of it a few times. But i've heard from a pretty direct source that GE doesn't do that. This was a result of loose lips and multiple warnings. I know that a lot of guys don't claim and don't give a shit. But ffs - this is their livelihood and we all seem to love it, but so few respect it. Its too bad.

Funny that they listed Cranford when that place closed a long time ago. However GE and Frankford have the same owner so maybe it makes sense.

Interesting,..... La Bella is on the previous delisted entry. I guess I have never tried to claim from them.
Its nice that the insurance company's are finally doing something good. Helping with providing a current list of value added providers. OMG Ha.

Chiropractors, Orthotics suppliers and Orthopedists all on that list. Clearly board members have been missing out on most of the real fun.

Miracle Health made it to the list too. I haven't heard anything about them for eons, so they are still around. Anyone seen anything interesting there. Other than a lack parking and the long walk of shame to the shower, I didn't mind that place and visited a cute little spinner there regularly a few years back.

Intersting that so many of the delisted providers were from Alberta. BC had only one spa delisted. I’m sure that same violations of Insurance Co rules occur across Canada.
