Craft Fair/Chair Massage?

[HELP!]

I will be doing my first chair massage event at a craft fair at the end of this month.
Have any of you had success at craft fairs? How did you set up you booth? Most suggestions I have read on craft fairs recommend setting things at eye level. I am at a loss on what I can set up as a visual at eye level.
Any suggestions and comments are welcome!

print a lot of your business cards and broshures and give to anybody passing by - they might not have time for a chair massage but will call you later

At an event like this, I offer 5 and 10 minute massages unless someone asks for longer . I have a sign that has my business name, I also have a sign that says "Today Only! $5.00 for 5 minutes $10.00 for 10 minutes. Wait till I get my hands on you!" Just slot in your own rates.

Sometimes people don't want to spend too long on a massage at an event like that. If two people are together and they each get 15 minutes, that's half an hour lost that could have been spent shopping.

And yes, I agree, have lots of brochures and business cards.

Have you thought of offering gift certificates for sale? Or of having a draw for massage to generate email or snail mail addresses for a mailing?

I have done chair massage at a craft fair and will be doing the same event again this year in a month or so. Some tips:

-Make sure to have plenty of brochures/business cards out

-Have a sign posted with your rates ($1.00/min or whatever you are charging). If you have a minimum, post that as well (5 minute min.)

-Consider selling gift certificates. I am doing this for the first time this year, so I don't have any advice on how to make it work yet. (I plan on wearing a eforum.xxx that says something like "Massage makes a great gift. Ask me about gift certificates.")

-Have a sheet where people can put their email addresses/snail mail addresses so you have their contact info for the future.

I made about $165 in cash the last time I did this. (About $23.50/hr) and that was just doing chair massage, not selling GCs. I ended up with a client out of it too. Good luck.

PS Make sure you have plenty of change. People will pay in 20's and sometimes 50s for small amounts of massage.
