To all forum members:

It is evident that there is a troll on this forum. This troll goes by multiple user names. Here are a few that we know about:
rururusputan = JS spa (Jasmine Spa) = 2024massage = oknow = oknow. = Iam NOTokaynow = Frodtruck = Torontobiggie = satisfaction62 = Kingofstile = mantomanservice = GoodLuck = etc (and whatever else he may come up with)

He enjoys trash talking about other businesses, the ladies in the industry, as well as forum members. He also enjoys trashing threads. He enjoys impersonating you and he steals your profile pictures, and username. He makes a minor modification of your username and uses your profile picture and the modified username to create a new account. Then he pretends to be you. You need to understand that it actually takes a considerable amount of time and energy to be a troll. If you realize that then you realize how sick these people are. I have attached a link to an article at the end of this announcement which I found most interesting.

To combat trolling on this forum we can:

1) "ignore" troll's usernames. we can do this for all his user names, as far as I know there is no limit on how many usernames we can "ignore" verses how many different email accounts, different user accounts and profiles the troll can come up with. Here is the procedure once more:

Once you are logged in hover your mouse over his user name "fordtruck", "oknow" or click on his user name.
A message box pops up.
On the bottom of the box you see three small boxes.
One box says "follow', next says "ignore", and the last says "Send direct message".
Click on the "ignore" box.

He will vanish into thin air. Seriously, poof he is gone! You will not see his comments any more on any thread. You will not even see his user name any more. And it will stay that way until you "unignore"...

And there is a similar procedure for unwanted direct messages...

2) "ban" trolls posting on our threads. Here is the procedure again:

In addition if you are starting a thread you can manage your thread and do this with your thread (this works for old threads and new threads):

On the top right hand corner of your first post you will see a box with three rectangles in it:

Frist one says "Lock Thread"
Second one says "Watch"
Third one is just a "...", it's a drop down menu
from the drop down menu under "More options" you can select:

• Edit thread
• Lock thread
• Delete thread
• Manage reply ban

Click on manage reply bans
A new box pops up
Fill out the information needed in the boxes
In the first box you can entre the username(s)
in the box below it you can select the length of ban (up to permanent ban, until you delete the ban)

Members of the forum you will NOT be seeing any trash talk on my threads anymore because "This user(s) will still be able to view this thread, but will not be able to reply until the ban expires"!

Because such users have been "ignored" I was unaware of the trash talk on my thread (because once you click ignore you don't see their usernames or comments, they vanish). However "ignore" does not ban the users from posting on my thread or your thread. The above procedure does.

In order to keep this forum more pleasant and relevant I ask and suggest you do the same if you are reading this for the following:

3) We can lock the thread. Here is the procedure :

In addition if you are starting a thread you can manage your thread and do this with your thread (this works for old threads and new threads):

Click on Lock Thread. Locking the thread has one disadvantage and that is no one else can reply to your post. However they can DM you and you can DM them. Naturally you'll need to carefully monitor who it is you are talking to in your DM. You can filter your DMs as mentioned above.

Trolls are emotionally and mentally sick, so they crave attention and seek to irritate.

As per articles on trolling behavior, I believe the best course of action is to not feed the troll by replying to him or acknowledging him or his comments regardless of whether the comments are relevant to the topic of discussion or offensive, a troll comments and designes it to be engaging at whatever level, best is not to engage regardless.

If we all ignore the troll, one way or the other, then the troll can talk to himself until he is blue in the face, meaning if we don't feed the troll he'll starve to death

The ignore feature on this forum cleans things up nicely and keeps things relevant, normal discussion can go on with out interruption or distractions, because you won't even see anything

I copied and pasted the most important part in my opinion.

Don't feed the trolls:
Resist the urge to respond – it’s not possible to reason with a troll. As tempting as it may be, getting involved in an online argument just gives them the reaction they want, so they are likely to step up the attack.

Collect evidence, report and block:
Online services and platforms have a responsibility to ensure people can use them safely. If the trolling is starting to feel harmful, collect evidence so you have proof – this can include screenshots or recordings of the abusive comments. Then you can report and block the troll ... If they (massage planet) don’t help and your experience meets the legal threshold of serious cyberbullying (for under 18s) or adult cyber abuse (for 18+), you can make a report to eSafety (or contact the appropriate authority) and we will help remove the harmful content.

Those of you reading this might then wonder why I posted a certain comment. The intent was not to feed the troll but to let all forum members know that certain establishments in Calgary are involved in human trafficking and abuse and rape of women in the industry

Reading comments such as "Massage planet should increase the membership age limit from 8 to at least 18. I believe too many kids are here abusing this forum. That's the only explanation from some of the comments on a lot threads. WTF!" and "Agreed. And also your IQ has to be higher than your age". RuRuRusputin agrees!

Perhaps a good reminder: We need to be aware of who we talk to online, on this forum and in our DMs!

Trolls lack originality and imagination evident by the content they post and their online behaviour, even when it comes to creating new accounts and username. Since they have several different accounts and username names they can't track who said what or even what they said, trolls don't care about content

Trolls like to get attention, they crave it and can not survive with out it. They do anything to get attention. This includes trying to sound "intelligent" and try to spark a conversation, while they have no idea what they are talking about. They do this to gain your trust and befriend you. Then take advantage of your trust as you befriend them, and try to obtain information, sometimes sensitive information on others, particularly other SPs to exploit their vulnerabilities.

It is critical to remember we need to be careful of who we are talking to and who we are sharing information with. If we are not careful then that can have detrimental impact on both the SPs and us. Here is an updated list of troll usernames:

Let's not forget and let's not play along or play into a troll hand, simple! Trolls lack originality, creativity and imagination as evident by the content they post and their online behaviour. They do anything to provoke and get attention! That's how they get their "fix"!

Among a host of other mental health issues this troll actually believes this negatively impacts their business and help improve his.

At your own discretion or based on the connection or "relationship" you have with your therapist or your favorite lady feel free to inform them and let them know who is most likely behind it. If the businesses hear about this from more than one source and more often then this is more effective. Be willing to assist in whatever way you can and feel comfortable about (show and give them one of posts for example) whoever it is your informing.

Professional business defamation has consequences, like individual defamation, it involves making false statements that harm a business's reputation, and can take the form of libel (written) or slander (spoken). To succeed in a defamation claim, a business must prove the statement was false, damaging, and communicated to a third party (that's us). As for our favourite ladies in the industry, they have their own means and ways of dealing with such issues.
