Im married:

The Best: Is knowing no matter what he is there to support me, love me, and hold me tight.

The not so great: The expectations society puts on a "married couple"...but I'm learning to say "fuck off" alot easier than I used to.

2. You don't have to hide gifts, receipts, and other purchase records in ridiculous places.
3. If you buy something "yummy", you don't have to buy twice as much.
4. The only person you have to dress up for is your boss.

7. One bedroom apartments feel more spacious with only one person
8. You never have to ask for permission to orgasm.
9. Only the doctor can tell you what to eat

89. You can shower or bathe when you want, as often as you want, for as long as you want.
90. You can even leave the door open when you shower.
91. The longer you wait, the better you know yourself, instead of someone else.
92. Children learn how to treat themselves by watching how you treat yourself.
93. A bad relationship is like a lingering knife wound- it continues to ruin your whole day.
94. You can be as eccentric as you want.
95. Your car can be as dirty or unusual or artistic as you want.
96. You decide how long it takes to get ready.

The nice part about being married is having someone in your corner... someone who would notice if you didn't get in on time from a long drive, or someone to hold your hand before that scary medical test, or someone to snuggle after a nightmare.

Best part (I know I should say 3-somes but we were married for a long time b/f those ever started), always having someone in your corner, supporting you, giving you a reality check OR building you up. OF course, that means you find Ms. Right. 3 has always been and continues to be more than I could have ever hoped for.

And who says I haven't found my Soul Mate? I'm often in happy, active relationships that I enjoy. My present S.O. is lovely, attentive and a genuine head turner. It doesn't mean I want to get married. I make the rules in my life. I have no desire to consult with anyone else when it comes to my freedom, choices and schedules.

The arrangement works beautifully for me and if she's ever not happy, she can walk away whenever she wants.

Hmmm maybe that's why I don't believe in soul mates, of all the women who I loved, and supposedly truly loved me, none have ever done that.....

I don't mean they never did any of that, but always? Never. One in fact only once in 6 yrs defended me to her family in fact, they thought I was a piece of dogshit that got tracked in off the street and treated me as such. For eg: I was at a family do one time and one of her aunts asked what nationality I was. I told her polish/ukrainian/british...she said OH YOU'RE A PUKE and said that about 10 times, here comes the PUKE, let's see what the PUKE thinks. It got to the point where I said to the GF: tell her to stop with that shit. If she calls me a PUKE one more time she'll be wearing the potato salad and I am NOT kidding.......
