Mmmm. Chocolates.... I give everyone a 1/2 liter bottle of water. Someday, *when* I have my own place, I want to have a tea bar with an assortment of herbal teas, and some to-go cups with lids and those cardboard koozies so they can take their hot drink with them if they like. And iced herbal teas in the summer. And water, of course.

I have a small refrigerator in the waiting area of my clinic with water and fruit juice.  I let the client decide.  I want them drinking water but they like the choice.  Most still take water because the feel quilty about taking juice.  But still they get the choice and it makes them feel better that I let them pick.

I offer bottled water after each massage (half  hour or 1-hour), but the candy jar in the massage room is a great idea. I think I'll start implementing that ASAP! Thanks for the tips...be well,Jen

I give everyone a 1/2 pint of water. They love that they can just take it and go instead of having to "chug" a cup of water. I also have individually wrapped mints near the changing area that is very refreshing after a massage.

I too give every client a bottle of water after their massage.  I even add my own business labels on the water bottles to add something extra.  My clients love it.  I also keep mints in the massage room and where they check out.  Every little special thing you can do will only add to your business to make it stand out from all the others.  While giving massages I make sure my clients are comfortable when they turn over I give them a neck pillow to help support them on the table.  When I cover their eyes I add something cool in between the eye cover.  They love this!!  Anything extra you can add, will only help you!  All it takes is a little extra thought.  Believe me, a lot of therapists do not do these things.  (Comments I have heard from clients)  What other things do you offer in your practice, please share your ideas.

Sherry,I buy my water where ever it is on sale.  Sam's Club had a really good deal.   I just remove the label and slap on my own.  When I see it on sale somewhere I stock up on it.

It is not against the law to use your own labels as long as I am not selling the water bottles.  They are for my own private use.  I just happen to give them to people.

I too give a bottle of water. I slap the label right on top of theres. Sams is where I get mine I LOVE Sams !! I warm up a rice pillow or neck warmer and offer it to them while doing my intake. Kind of a warm suggle. Some times  They get a little happy. Like a candle with a pretty ribbonand my card attached of corse. Sales are a great way to spoil your clients. Face it who dosent like to be spoiled once and a while. You cant beat a good clearence!!!        Jessica/TT

Restaurants buy their supplies there too.

I use Mailing lables ( from sams) I think it was about $10 bucks for 1250 lables. I am going to sams today for water and Ill check the price and let you know.                                 Jessica/TT

Good topic, mimi.I hand each client a bottle of water after the massage and I keep some mints (either starlight or individually wrapped lifesavers) in a basket near the door.  I like the mints because of that "cleansing yuck" taste some people have in their mouth after a massage.Juice would be a good idea to offer - and I hadn't considered that.  If they're not going to drink the water I give them (and I'm sure some of them don't!) then juice would be a better choice than a coke or nothing at all.

I decided to offer my clients water in reusable cups, though  I like the idea of encouraging them to drink more water by sending them away with a bottle. I found I had an issue with the amount of waste that produces.  (I'm a little neurotic about reducing/reusing/recycling) :  At most I have to wash 6 cups a day and sometimes take them home to be washed in the dishwasher.  I also have mints in the massage room.  I always look for something that is individually wrapped and not too big and I found one I am really happy with.  They are Tic Tac Silvers.  They are vanilla mint and a little bigger than a tic tac.  I've found them regularly at office supply stores and Big Lots.
