I've tried to do some calculating for a small (semi) legit parlour, using worst case scenario, and still quite profitable. Feel I'm doing something wrong, looks to good to be true.

How did you come up with 1.5 customers an hour? As well location effects that variable. How did you come up with that wage? If you do not have inside info, this is mere speculation.

You're assuming you'll always be servicing 1.5 customers for 10 hours a day, 28 days a month. Even the very popular girls are not always booked up. Some days many of them are in the back hanging out and they'd be lucky if they see 4 clients in a 10 hours shift. Your expenses seem pretty low as well.

Also, do you have connections in the industry? If not this will be a non starter.

Like most small business, a spa owner makes most of her profit/income from her work. Income from other girl's room fees would be enough to pay the rent/advertising... and what ever the spa owner makes from her own booking would be 100% profit which is not bad. Of course, a small spa owner has to work hard, long hours, take risks and handle difficult clients that her girls don't want.
A popular MPA can make $10000 a month by working a few days a week, but do you want your daughter to be in this type of business?

I've often wondered about this too. Your monthly profit figure seems doable, but I have my doubts about the cost breakdown. I've always assumed these places are really just cash laundrys.

By taking my assumption that room fees from other girls would cover all the expenses (which is doable even for an average busy spa), the owner can take 100% from her work. Say, she would have 5 clients who would each give her $100, room fee +tips (very conservative), she would make $500 a day or $12500 a month by working 6 days/week. It's not hard to figure out, a hard working owner can easily make $15000-$20000 a month, mostly tax free.

I suggest you do more research and try talking to some spa owners if you are serious about this.

But most small spas are not getting 1.5 customers per hour (that works out to 15 customers per day if the spa is open 10 hrs). A lot of small spas would be lucky to get half that volume. Also, not sure what the $10 Hourly Wage is about. As you probably know, that's not how MPAs get paid...

but again, how do the small spas stay profitable, if they are only getting a couple of customers a day, both the spa and they MPA will go broke
