Woman of Kochi offered lakhs for tele caller job, lodges complaint - Kerala Kaumudi

KOCHI: A woman has lodged a complaint for forcing her into immoral activities after offering her a tele caller job. The complaint is against a massage parlour at pipe line road in Palarivattom. The Palarivattom police have started a preliminary investigation into the woman's complaint. The statement of the woman of Ernakulam will be recorded soon.

The woman approached the parlour following an advertisement seen in the newspaper for the tele caller post. She grew suspicious after knowing that the vacancy was in a massage parlor. However, the owners of the parlour convinced her that it was a recognized one and that she only has to answer the calls that came in. It was only after joining there she realized that the massage parlor was into immoral activities. It was during this time that she was forced into immoral activities with the promise of earning lakhs a month.


The woman told media that they have massage parlors in Kakkanad and Kundannoor and that many police officers from the special squad are regular visitors here. Her complaint said girls are exploited by taking advantage of their financial difficulties and that college students are among the victims. The woman also claimed in her complaint that the managers threatened to harm her if she revealed what was happening in the parlor.
