My method, not foolproof either, is not allowing the girls to get the upper hand.
Am a tough experienced cookie that will not allow, for example, for the girls to sit on me, never.
Never permit them to flirt or do their "jale" (in Spanish their "job").
By flirting I really tell them "you preffer him... go away" (sounds familiar, Pelongera?) and that's where I will know if she wants to be with me.

By "jale" I mean, some girls will go up to the point of taking their tops off believing they will blind me or make me an idiot that will go "ga-ga" looking at nipples.

Yes, I see this happen a lot too. Some girls can see the easy marks and attack them from the second they walk in. Pelongera, like Fireballs commented, when they approach you that's an indication that they may have picked you out of the herd as a easy prey. In my early days I would be pinned down by a chika as soon as I set foot in the bar and then she would try and blind me with how good she was in bed and how I would get the special attention. Well, more than once I fel for it only to be disappointed as soon as the room door closed behind me and she had my money. The would immediately switch from sales mode to profit more.
